Pieces of My Heart

Before I became a Mom I swore I would never be the type to show off every picture of my child. I have officially became, "One of those!" I mean, really? How could you not want to look, swoon over and demand to see more and repeatedly pictures of my adorable children whom make up the pieces of my heart!
Viv, 8 and Little Optimus, 3 1/2 were so easy to get pictures of together

My loves! It was a little hard to get Bear, 6months, to take a picture with the older kids because he did not enjoy them holding him.

This pictures makes me want to cry. ALso, because Little Optimus has my late Dad's eyebrows.

This one was super funny because while Vivi and Bear were scared out of their whits to be up on a tree branch (Hubby and I were spotting them from behind) Little Optimus was laughing at both of them.
I love the effects that Erin put on this picture. Its so gorgeous!

I don't even want to tell you why he was laughing but this is a perfect picture for my silly boy. his really is his personality.

He melts my heart

My baby bear cub can just melt you with those eyes!!

She really got some great pictures here

AAAAhhhhhh sniff sniff

I seriously started crying when I saw this. I love my Baby bear and those eyes!

When did my little baby girl turn into such a beautiful young lady?

So gorgeous!

What a model she is! Erin got some great angles!

I finally got a good shot of her with her cowgirl boots!

This smile is the best! You can't help but laugh.

My very good childhood friend Erin did these pictures for me and I am absolutely in love with them. She is very talented and just Amazing!  I've know her for ...gosh, umm... 15 years? She is very talented. She does pictures on the side but also does everything wedding related. You can see her work at http://erinsweddingdesign.wordpress.com

Summer

Summer is here and I'm pretty excited! Although this summer is going to be a little different. Last summer we were all over the place!! Little Optimus(my older son) was 2 And Vivi (my daughter )was 6 and they were both old enough to just throw them in the car and get on the open road! We were at the beach, the pool, my in laws, parks etc! We took a vacation to Utah and just had a blast!

This year will be a bit slower. With a newborn we have to get a little bit creative. It's not so easy to just throw a 6 week old, 3 yo and 7 yo in the car and take off for the day. Let alone do it while I'm breast feeding. So I'm doing some research and trying to stay a little closer to home. I know the older kids get a little bored from time to time but slowing down to enjoy the wonders of our new addition has a precious way of slowing us down to enjoy each other.

Homeschool: Day 1

Today was the very first day of homeschool for "Vivi" and I. I was nervous about how it would go and if I was going to be left scratching my head wondering what to do next. I was nervous my daughter would get bored and want to go off and read or we would have arguments over tv as if she was home on vacation. Luckily we spend lots of time on prayer and in preparation before we took this new journey on. And to my very bright surprise our day was AMAZING! We spent a half our in the morning praying and reading our verses for today. We talked about some of the rules for today and we jumped right on into it. Throughout the day she did her work without a complaint and we got to discuss everything together. we broke up some chores through the day and she was beyond willing to do laundry, offered to do more than what was expected of her and had a wonderful attitude while working. Being able to pray before and after each task was such a blessing.

I was so happy that I was able to really lives out the benefits and blessing that homeschool has to offer. I got to interact and witness first hand when her eyes light up when we talk about a subject that she really enjoys. I got to hear her prayers out loud and spend a minute in awe after hearing what a wonder heart she has. I could not have expected such blessings from this opprtunity. I can not stop praising God for speaking to me clearly and giving me such blessing.

I know there will be days where I won't finish all the work and I will be beyond frustrated and tired and exhausted with the day but I thank God for sending me encouragement with such a wonderful first day!
